Grief Counseling in Texas — Space to Honor Your Loss

Unhurried, tender telehealth grief support for adults across Texas — helping you carry your loss and, in time, find your way forward.

Your grief is real

There is no timeline for grief

Grief does not follow the five stages. It rarely moves in a straight line. It can arrive years after a loss, or be triggered by something small when you thought you were finally okay. It can be loud and consuming, or quiet and hollow. All of it is real.

I offer a space where you do not have to explain or justify your grief. Where you are not expected to be “over it” by any particular time. Where we can sit with what you are carrying and gently begin to make sense of it, at whatever pace feels right.

Grief therapy is available as telehealth from anywhere in Texas. You can attend from your own home — which can feel especially important when grief makes it hard to leave.

Losses I support

Death of a loved one

Whether sudden or anticipated, the loss of a parent, partner, child, sibling, or friend leaves a mark that deserves real attention.

Pregnancy loss & infertility

Miscarriage, stillbirth, and the grief of infertility are real losses that are often suffered in painful silence. You are not alone.

Ambiguous loss

Grieving a relationship, an identity, a dream, or a person still living who is no longer the person you knew.

Pet loss

The grief of losing a beloved animal companion is genuine and often underestimated by others. Here it is honored.

Complicated grief

When grief feels stuck, overwhelming, or intertwined with trauma, specialized support can help you process what ordinary time cannot.

Life transitions & loss of identity

Divorce, retirement, empty nesting, or health changes can carry a profound grief for the life or self that once was.

My approach

How grief counseling works

I do not believe in a formula for grief. Instead I draw on person-centered, trauma-informed care — listening first, then following where you need to go. Some sessions are about honoring the person or thing you lost. Some are about making sense of how you have changed. Some are simply about not carrying it alone for an hour.

I also draw on Gestalt approaches that help you stay grounded in the present, and IFS (Internal Family Systems) to work with the parts of you that are resisting grief, numbing to it, or overwhelmed by it — each with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment.

Sessions are 45 minutes via secure telehealth video. A sliding scale is available if cost is a barrier.

Common questions

What you might be wondering

Is there a right or wrong way to grieve?

No. Grief is as individual as the person experiencing it. There is no timeline, no checklist, and no correct way to feel. I meet you wherever you are.

How long does grief therapy take?

Grief does not operate on a schedule, and neither does grief therapy. Some people find significant relief in a few months; others benefit from longer support. We check in regularly and let your needs guide the pace.

Can grief counseling help with pregnancy loss or infertility?

Absolutely. Pregnancy loss, miscarriage, and infertility are real griefs that are often minimized by those around us. This is a safe, non-judgmental space for all of it.

Do I need to be in crisis to seek grief counseling?

Not at all. Whether your loss is recent or years old, whether you feel devastated or just quietly hollow, grief counseling can help you process what you are carrying.

What does it cost?

Sessions are $60 for 45 minutes. A sliding scale is available — please ask. The first 15-minute consultation is always free.

You don’t have to grieve alone

Whenever you are ready, I am here. The first conversation is free — no pressure, no obligation.
