EMDR & Trauma Therapy in Texas — Healing at Your Own Pace
Specialized EMDR and trauma-informed telehealth counseling for adults across Texas — helping you process painful memories and reclaim a sense of safety.
You deserve to feel safe
Trauma changes you — and healing can too
Trauma does not always look the way we expect. It can be a single devastating event, or it can be years of experiences that slowly convinced you the world was not safe and you were not enough. Either way, its mark is real — in your body, your relationships, and the way you move through the world.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is one of the most extensively researched trauma therapies available. It helps the brain process and integrate distressing memories in a way that reduces their emotional charge — so the past no longer has to ambush the present.
I offer trauma-informed telehealth therapy from anywhere in Texas. We move at your pace, with your safety always the first priority.

The EMDR process, step by step
EMDR follows a structured protocol. We never rush. Each phase is designed to keep you grounded and in control.
History & Treatment Planning
We identify the experiences and current triggers that are most affecting your life and map out a gentle treatment plan together.
Preparation & Resourcing
Before any processing begins, we build your toolkit of calming techniques so you always have a way to ground yourself.
Assessment
We identify a specific memory to work with, along with the negative beliefs and body sensations connected to it.
Desensitization & Processing
Using bilateral stimulation (eye movements or tapping), we guide the brain to process the memory until its emotional charge naturally reduces.
Installation & Closure
We strengthen the positive beliefs you want to associate with the experience, and close each session safely so you leave feeling grounded.
Who I work with
Trauma therapy may help if you are experiencing…
PTSD or acute stress
Flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, or emotional numbness following a traumatic event.
Childhood trauma
Early experiences of neglect, abuse, or instability that still show up in your adult relationships and sense of self.
Negative self-beliefs
Deep-seated convictions that you are not enough, not safe, or not lovable — often rooted in past experiences.
Medical or birth trauma
Distressing healthcare experiences, difficult deliveries, or pregnancy loss that left an emotional wound.
Relationship trauma
Recovery from controlling, manipulative, or emotionally harmful relationships.
Complex & developmental trauma
A long history of difficult experiences that built up over time rather than a single event.
Common questions
What you might be wondering about EMDR
Can EMDR be done online?
Yes. EMDR is adapted effectively for telehealth using on-screen bilateral stimulation techniques. Research supports its effectiveness in online formats.
How many sessions will I need?
It varies. Some single-incident traumas resolve in 6–12 sessions. Complex or developmental trauma often requires longer-term work. We assess together as we go.
Do I have to talk about my trauma in detail?
No. EMDR does not require you to describe every detail of your traumatic experience. You stay in control of how much you share, and we always work at your pace.
What does EMDR feel like?
Most clients describe the process as unusual but manageable. You may feel emotional during processing, but many people experience a sense of relief and distance from the memory as the work progresses.
What does it cost?
Sessions are $60 for 45 minutes. A sliding scale is available — please ask. A free 15-minute introductory call is always included.
